The Development Manager is responsible for identifying, assessing, and progressing utility-scale renewable energy projects from origination through to construction readiness. The role works across technical, commercial, environmental, and stakeholder streams to deliver high-quality development outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Identify and evaluate greenfield, brownfield, repowering, and expansion opportunities.
Lead projects through development, including land access, planning approvals, environmental assessments, stakeholder engagement, and grid connection activities.
Manage external consultants, advisors, and contractors.
Develop project plans, budgets, risk registers, and business cases.
Monitor project performance, expenditure, and key development milestones.
Support investment assessments and due diligence activities.
Manage project handover to construction and delivery teams.
Build solid relationships with landowners, communities, regulators, network providers, and project partners.
Integrate health, safety, sustainability, and ESG principles into all development activities.





Qualifications & Experience
Degree in Engineering, Planning, Environmental Science, Commerce, or a related discipline.
5+ years' experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, or the energy sector.
Demonstrated experience developing renewable energy projects in Australia.
Experience with solar, wind, BESS, or related technologies.
Strong project management, stakeholder engagement, and commercial evaluation skills.
Understanding of Australian energy markets, planning approvals, and regulatory frameworks.

Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
