Azure Data Tech Lead (Azure | Databricks | PySpark | ADF | Terraform)-Only Australia

We are looking for an experienced Azure Data Tech Lead with a robust background in Azure Data Engineering, Databricks, and Infrastructure as Code. This is an excellent opportunity to lead cloud transformation initiatives, mentor technical teams, and deliver scalable Azure data solutions in an enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities
Lead Azure cloud and data engineering initiatives.
Design, develop, and support Azure Data Engineering solutions using Databricks, PySpark, Azure Data Factory, and SQL.
Implement and automate Azure infrastructure using Terraform, ARM Templates, and Azure DevOps.
Provide Level 3 technical support and act as the escalation point for Azure-related issues.
Drive security hardening, performance optimisation, and cloud best practices.




Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable cloud solutions.
Produce and maintain technical documentation and mentor support teams.

Required Skills & Experience
Tertiary qualification in IT or a related discipline with Microsoft Azure certifications.
Current Tech Lead experience is mandatory.
Robust hands‑on experience with Azure Cloud Data Engineering.
Expertise in Databricks, PySpark, Azure Data Factory (ADF), SQL, and Azure DevOps.
Robust experience with Terraform, ARM Templates, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Extensive DevOps experience in Azure environments.
Good understanding of cloud security, governance, and security hardening.
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work collaboratively and provide technical leadership.
