SPELD NSW is a registered charity and not-for-profit organisation that supports children, adolescents and adults with specific learning difficulties, as well as their families, tutors, teachers, and schools across Recent South Wales. SPELD NSW delivers professional learning for educators and offers tailored support and resources to schools. Our vision is that individuals with specific learning difficulties have every chance to reach their full potential through early identification, evidence-based instruction, specialist teaching, and appropriate educational adjustments.
We are seeking a strategic financial leader to join our Board, oversee our financial health, and ensure robust sustainability and reporting governance. This is a voluntary position.

Strategic Impact:
Shape the future of evidence-based literacy and numeracy instruction.
Governance Leadership: Collaborate with a passionate, expert Board and lead financial oversight (including potential Committee leadership).
What You Will Bring
Finance Expertise: CPA/CA qualification or robust NFP Treasurer experience is highly regarded.
Governance Knowledge: A clear understanding of Director duties, relevant regulations, and risk management.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to guide long-term resource allocation, investment, and planning.
Collaborative Mindset: Strong interpersonal skills to work constructively with the Board and the CEO.
Mission Alignment: A genuine commitment to the values and mission of SPELD NSW.
Commitment & Location
6 bi-monthly meetings per year and 1 strategy day held in Parramatta.
