Sam Technology Engineers is a Smithfield NSW based jobbing work shop, manufacturing equipment for the mining, materials handling and railway industries.

We are seeking a production foreman with trade based experience in fabrication and engineering.

The applicants duties will include:
Managing and directing the day to day work of the production team to ensure that work is carried out in a skilled and timely manner by managing customer requirements and assigning jobs and resources, as required.
Tool selection, assisting in project and job planning
Providing ‘on the floor’ technical expertise to the production team (fabrication and fitting)
Ensuring that the production team is motivated and managed
Providing direction as to hours and monitoring time sheets
Quality Assurance
Work closely with production managers, engineers, and customers




Monitor productivity, identify improvements, and implement solutions
Manage material and equipment resources, liaise with supervisors on production needs and coordinate daily operations.

Required Qualifications
Minimum 10 years experience
Previous supervisory or lead role experience
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Robust communication and team leadership abilities
Commitment to workplace safety and Quality Assuarance

Preferred Skills
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
Ability to train and mentor apprentices
Experience with fabricating and welding
