About us

The Department of Treasury and Finance is at the centre of Government decision-making. As the principal economic and financial advisor, we provide leadership and strategic advice and influence to support the delivery of services and outcomes for the benefit of Western Australia.

What we do is integral to the Government’s decision-making processes about where and how to spend taxpayer’s money to ensure Western Australians have access to quality services on a financially sustainable basis.

We lead procurement and leverage our buying power to secure products and services for government, achieving value for money for WA.

We collect revenue to fund government services and administer payment of grants and subsidies to the WA community.

The work area

The Procurement Policy and Strategy business unit is responsible for a whole of government approach to procurement policy including administration of the Procurement Act,



procurement systems and intelligence as well as whole of government common use arrangements and assurance functions that efficiently meet the business needs of government agencies, manage risks and deliver value for money.

The opportunity

Are you passionate about data intelligence, analytics and driving better government outcomes through evidence-based decision making? We are looking for a motivated and cutting-edge professional to join our Procurement Intelligence and Reporting team and make a difference for Western Australia. In this role, you will:
Lead the delivery of reporting and intelligence solutions that support government procurement performance and compliance.
Build strong partnerships with stakeholders across the public sector to identify opportunities, understand business needs and deliver impactful insights.
Drive innovation in business intelligence, data modelling and reporting practices to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.

We currently have one (1) permanent full time position available for filling within the Procurement Assurance, Systems and Reporting team.
