We’re seeking a talented and driven Design Manager to join a dynamic workplace design studio in Melbourne. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll be involved across the full project lifecycle from client engagement and concept design through to documentation and delivery while leading a small, high-performing team.
You’ll play a key role in shaping innovative workplace settings, managing multiple projects, and ensuring design excellence across all stages. You will play a key part in concept and design for the projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead client interactions including briefings, presentations, and relationship management
Drive concept design, space planning, and layout development for workplace projects
Oversee and contribute to Revit documentation and detailing
Produce or direct high-quality 3D renders and visualisations
Manage and mentor a team
Oversee multiple projects simultaneously (ranging from 500-5,000 sqm)
Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget,
and to a high design standard
Remain hands-on ("on the tools") while leading the team and managing workflow
About You
Proven experience in workplace / office interiors design
Strong Revit proficiency (essential)
Background in Design & Construct (D&C;) highly regarded
Confident client-facing skills with robust presentation ability
Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring a team
Strong creative flair with a sharp eye for design and detail
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
