We are seeking a dedicated person to lead our kitchen operations in Innisfail.

This hands-on role is ideal for someone who takes pride in preparing high-quality meals, leading a team, maintaining food safety standards, and delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Your Role

As a Chief Cook you'll be looking after the most key people in our organisation - our residents. Your tasks will include:
Prepare and cook daily nutritionally balanced meals.
As required, order main line food commodities and maintain stock reserves and control
Supervise Client Services Assistants and Volunteers directly associated with the kitchen setting (where applicable)
Ensure the needs of the residents are met through regular monitoring of catering services
Prepare menus and involve residents in choice and selection where appropriate
Monitor and comply with Workplace Health and Safety and Environmental practices

Role Requirements
Be vaccinated against Influenza & at least 1 dose of Covid-19 vaccine
Current Police Screening Certificate
Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
Demonstrated previous cooking experience for large groups would be an advantage
Current First Aid & CPRCertificates
