We are seeking a skilled Theatre Nurse specialising in endoscopy and pain management. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care in a surgical workplace, assisting with procedures and ensuring patient comfort. Your expertise will be vital in delivering exceptional nursing care and supporting the surgical team in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and management of the operating theatre for surgical procedures.
Provide direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
Monitor patients’ vital signs and comfort levels throughout the surgical process.
Collaborate with surgeons and anaesthetists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Maintain a sterile setting and adhere to infection control protocols.
Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and recovery.
Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
Registered Nurse with a valid nursing licence in Australia.
Experience in a theatre setting, particularly in endoscopy and pain management.
Solid understanding of surgical procedures and patient care protocols.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team and under pressure.
Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) is preferred.
