Role Description This part-time Data Analyst (Entry / Junior) role is a hybrid position based in Melbourne, VIC, with flexibility for some work from home. The Data Analyst will collect, clean, and organize operational and logistics data from multiple sources to support reporting and performance tracking. Day-to-day tasks include building basic dashboards, preparing regular data summaries, and assisting with data modeling to improve forecasting and resource planning. The role involves conducting exploratory analysis to identify trends and inefficiencies, documenting findings, and presenting insights in a transparent format for internal stakeholders. The Data Analyst will collaborate with operations, finance, and management teams to ensure data accuracy and contribute to data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and foundational Data Analytics capabilities to interpret operational and business data.
Candidates should possess knowledge of Statistics to support basic quantitative analysis and performance measurement.
Candidates should possess Data Modeling skills to assist in building straightforward models for forecasting and logistics optimization.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to present insights clearly and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Basic proficiency in spreadsheet tools (e.g., Excel or Google Sheets) and familiarity with data visualization tools or BI platforms is beneficial.
Relevant tertiary education or progress toward a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, or a related field is preferred.
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively in a part-time capacity, and maintain attention to detail in data-related tasks.
