Located within the highly prospective Tennant Creek Mineral Field, this chance sits with one of Australia's growing gold producers, focused on developing and operating high-quality gold assets in the Northern Territory.
With a fully funded development plan and significant exploration upside, this role offers hands-on exposure across mine planning, drill and blast, production analysis and operational improvement, working closely with both Technical Services and Operations teams.
Reporting to the Senior Mining Engineer, you will provide day-to-day engineering support to open pit mining operations, contributing to the secure and efficient delivery of production objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Support short-term mine planning and scheduling activities
Coordinate and monitor drill and blast activities
Analyse production performance against plan
Prepare production, technical and compliance reports
Support haulage optimisation and operational improvement initiatives
Provide technical recommendations based on operational performance data
Utilise Deswik and reporting tools to support planning and operational decision-making.

About You:
Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent
3–5 years' open pit mining engineering experience
Experience in mine planning, drill and blast, production analysis and operational reporting
Proficiency in Deswik and Microsoft Office Suite
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to build effective working relationships across site teams.
