This full time role requiresstrong hand-eye co-ordination, attention to detail, and the ability to work constructively in a small team in a structured environment. Experience using knives in a meat processing workplace is not necessary but would be highly regarded.
This role can be physical, requiring repetitive movements and physical lifting. A pre-employment medical will be required to ensure you are fit to perform the duties.
Key responsibilities
Conducting boning and slicing activities in the meat room
Packing, weighing and wrapping of uncooked meat
Labouring activities related to stock movement in chillers and freezers, incoming and outgoing orders, and maintenance and cleanliness of the processing facility
Basic administrative tasks including conducting stocktake activities and entering stock data into computer systems
You must have
Ability to work constructively in a small team setting
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Confidence using basic IT programs
Experience in a similar industry, particularly where you developed knife skills would be desirable, but not essential as training will be provided.
This is a full-time position from Tuesday-Friday each week.
Priority will be given to candidates who are locally based in Darwin, or those who have enacted relocation plans. We won’t be considering applications from sponsorship or working holiday visa holders.
