Rocky Point Sugar Mill is seeking a skilled and experienced Fitter to join our team on a full time basis. Based in Woongoolba, Queensland, this role is integral to ensuring the protected and effective operation of our industrial equipment.
What we're looking for
Trade certificate (Cert III)
Ability to work on 8 hour shifts (day, afternoon and night shift)
Experience with conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, seal assemblies and other industrial equipment
Key responsibilities
Install, maintain and repair equipment
Conduct routine preventative maintenance
Diagnose and troubleshoot faults
Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergency repairs to maintain production schedules
Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards, regulations and industry best practices
Collaborate with other maintenance team members and operational staff to support mill operations
