Job Description

Duties may include:
Sandalwood planting and maintenance
Plantation establishment and maintenance

Weed control
Irrigation installation and maintenance
Tractor operation

Excavator operation
Forklift operation
General manual labour

Loading and unloading materials

General plantation duties as directed

About the Candidate

No previous plantation experience is required for Sandalwood Labour positions, as full on-the-job training will be provided. Applicants should: Be physically fit and capable of manual outdoor work.

Be reliable and punctual. Be able to work independently and as part of a team. Be willing to work in varying weather conditions.





Have a positive attitude and robust work ethic. For tractor, excavator and forklift operator positions, applicants must hold any licences or competencies required by law. Training

Employment Duration: Approximately 12 months / ongoing for the right candidate Award: Timber Industry Award 2020 - General Timber Stream Pay and Conditions:

Pay and conditions are in accordance with the Timber Industry Award 2020 - General Timber Stream. The rate of pay will be dependent on experience, skills and classification under the Award. Current minimum hourly rates include:
Sandalwood Labour - Level 2: From $26.44 per hour
Tractor & Chainsaw Operator - Level 3: From $27.08 per hour
Excavator & Forklift Operators - Level 4: From $27.97 per hour
