About the Role

Cadets are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander university students undertaking an undergraduate degree and as part of their degree are required to complete placements to gain on the work experience and exposure in the workplace. University students who apply to become Cadets are employees of Congress for the duration of their course and can complete their placements as paid work at Congress during their cadetship and degree term.

What are we looking for?

Someone to fit our team with the following requirements:
Identifies as an Aboriginal person; recognized and accepted as an Aboriginal person by the Central Australian Aboriginal Community.
Willingness, ability and appropriate levels of health and fitness to travel to and work from remote locations when required.
Is studying part/time or fulltime at a university (degree level), studying a course where there are functional job(s) in the Congress organization.




Good time management skills, including the ability to prioritise and follow through on tasks.
Prepared to undertake administrative and team support tasks regardless of functional study area.
