Position

This permanent midwife position is located approximately 10 km from the CBD in Melbourne's inner west.

Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of clinical, non‑clinical, and social needs, including identification of at‑risk women and babies, and accurately document findings in the consumer’s health record and care plan.
Demonstrate accountability and responsibility for all care delivered, practicing within scope and in accordance with organisational policies and qualified standards.
Recognise changes in consumers’ condition and take necessary action, including reporting and escalation, seeking appropriate assistance.
Effectively develop discharge plans that reflect the needs of women, babies, families and their significant others and demonstrate an understanding of the role of community providers.




Role‑model best practice and reference latest research.
Perform other midwifery duties as required.

Qualifications and Requirements
Current registration with AHPRA.
Experience as a registered midwife.
Demonstrated effective organisational skills, particularly with respect to time management, delegation and supervision.
Highly developed interpersonal skills.
Police and criminal history check.
Working with Children check if requested.
Immunisation health clearance prior to employment.
Sponsorship applications accepted for international applicants.
