Senior Commercial Manager | Perth, WA

Are you a commercially astute leader looking to influence some of Australia's most complex infrastructure, defence or major project programmes?

We're partnering with various organisations delivering high-value, technically complex projects across Australia. They're seeking experienced Senior Commercial Managers to lead commercial strategy, manage contractual risk and provide commercial leadership across major programmes.

The Opportunity

You'll be responsible for leading the commercial function across a portfolio of major projects - ensuring commercial governance, contract performance and risk management are embedded throughout the project lifecycle.

You'll work closely with operational leaders, legal teams and customers while mentoring and developing high-performing commercial professionals.

Key Responsibilities
Lead commercial strategy across complex infrastructure, defence or engineering programmes.
Manage high-value client and subcontractor contracts from bid through to project completion.
Identify, manage and mitigate commercial and contractual risk.
Lead contract negotiations, variations, claims and dispute resolution.
Provide commercial advice to executive and project leadership teams.




Drive commercial governance, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers and key stakeholders.
Mentor and develop commercial and contracts specialists.

About You
Significant experience in commercial, contracts or project commercial management.
Experience within Defence, EPC/EPCM, infrastructure, construction, mining, energy or major capital projects.
Solid knowledge of complex contract models (ASDEFCON, NEC, FIDIC, AS4000 or similar).
Exceptional negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Robust commercial acumen with the ability to balance risk and chance.
Experience leading teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Law, Commerce, Business, Engineering or a related discipline.

An Australian Defence Security Clearance (or eligibility to obtain one) will be highly regarded for defence-related opportunities.
