NW Professional is partnering with a respected and growing construction business to recruit an experienced Health, Safety & Compliance Officer. About the role

Reporting to the leadership team, you ll take ownership of health and safety initiatives while supporting project teams to maintain the highest standards of workplace safety and compliance.

Key responsibilities include:
Conducting site inspections, audits and safety reporting
Preparing SWMS, risk assessments and safety documentation




Investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions
Ensuring compliance with WHS/OHS legislation and company policies
Supporting project teams with safety planning and compliance
Coordinating inductions, training and competency records (including RIWs)
Managing contractor compliance and stakeholder communication
Driving continuous improvement across safety systems and processes

About you
Previous experience in a Health & Safety or OHS role within construction, civil or infrastructure
Strong knowledge of Australian WHS/OHS legislation
Experience conducting site inspections, audits and incident investigations
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Strong organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent) is highly regarded
