As a Rigger Operator Steel Erector with Adelaide Steel Erectors Pty Ltd, you will be responsible for the secure and efficient installation of steel structures at construction sites across Adelaide, SA. This full-time role is integral to the company's operations, ensuring projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.
What you'll be doing
Operate cranes, hoists, and other heavy machinery to lift and position steel components
Rig and sling loads safely, using appropriate techniques and equipment
Collaborate with the construction team to plan and execute the steel erection process
Inspect and maintain all rigging equipment to ensure it is in good working order
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to protect yourself and your colleagues
Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the steel erection process
Contribute to a positive and productive work workplace
What we're looking for
Formal training and qualifications as a Rigger, including a High-Risk Work Licence (RB) (C6) (WP) (LF) HR
Substantial experience (3+ years) operating cranes, hoists, and other heavy machinery in a construction setting
Strong understanding of rigging techniques,
load calculations, and safety procedures
Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the construction crew
Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all safety protocols
Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve any issues that arise during the steel erection process
