Mental Illness Fellowship of Australia (NT), (MIFANT), is a leading non‑profit organisation providing services for people living with a mental illness and their carers and families in the NT.
MIFANT is the NT representative of the nationally recognised organisations: Mental Illness Fellowship of Australia and Mental Health Carers Australia and have been providing services in the NT for over 30 years.
The Role
Support Workers play a critical role in helping MIFANT achieve its vision to provide high quality value for money services. The role is responsible for supporting clients with a mental health issue in our Mi Place centre Hub or in the community.

Key Responsibilities
Support people in a group setting to engage and participate
Assist people with a mental illness to access community based activities
Ensuring the Mi Place hub is a clean, secure and welcoming place
Maintain accurate and up to date documentation
Requirements for success
Preferably a qualification in Mental Health or a health related discipline or equivalent experience including lived experience.
Ability to manage own health and understand accountability to yourself and clients
Experience in working with a recovery model of practice
Demonstrated solid boundaries
A current police check and working with children/ochre card
Right to live and work in Australia
