We're looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to join our team in a busy manufacturing environment. This role provides essential administrative support to the purchasing function, helping ensure materials are ordered, tracked and available to support production.
This is an excellent chance for someone with purchasing or administration experience who enjoys working with ERP systems, suppliers and data in a fast-paced team workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Raise and process purchase orders within the ERP system.
Follow up suppliers on outstanding orders and delivery dates.
Maintain accurate supplier, pricing and purchasing records.
Assist with supplier queries, invoices and purchasing documentation.
Support inventory and purchasing administration activities.
Prepare reports, spreadsheets and purchasing trackers.
Work closely with internal stakeholders to support production requirements.
About You
Previous experience in purchasing administration, supply chain administration or a manufacturing support role is preferred.
ERP system experience is preferred, with SAP experience highly regarded.
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Able to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
