Key Responsibilities
Erect scaffolding and ladders, and place drop sheets to protect surrounding areas.
Prepare surfaces by removing old paint or wallpaper, repairing cracks and holes, sanding, smoothing, and sealing surfaces.
Select, mix, and prepare paints to achieve the required colours and finishes.
Apply paint, varnish, stains, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
Hang wallpaper, match patterns accurately, and trim edges neatly.
Clean and maintain painting tools, equipment, and work areas upon completion of each job.




Repair windows and replace broken glass in wooden or metal frames when required.
Install and repair wall and floor tiles when required.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with workplace health and safety requirements.

Requirements
Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
Minimum Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or an equivalent qualification.
At least one year of full-time work experience (or equivalent part time experience) as a Painter.
Strong knowledge of painting techniques, tools, materials, and workplace safety procedures.
Ability to prepare surfaces and apply a wide range of paint finishes to a high standard.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Good communication and time management skills.

Work Location: In person (Tarneit, Victoria)
