Chaplaincy Coordinator – Fixed Term contract

Carmichael College is a Prep to Year 12 co‑educational, non‑denominational Christian College situated in Morayfield. The College was established in 2015 and is enjoying steady growth.

The College is seeking applications from a compassionate and experienced Chaplain to lead our Chaplaincy team. The Chaplaincy Coordinator is responsible for supporting the social, emotional and spiritual needs of students at the College. This is a fixed‑term contract available from Term 3 2026 through to the end of Term 1 2027.

Responsibilities
Providing consultation to school leadership and teaching staff regarding wellbeing needs of students
Contributing to and advocate for student spiritual development
Providing input to the design of a pastoral care framework, process and policy
Providing input into Health Curriculum, Christian Studies Curriculum, Chapels, social and emotional frameworks
Facilitating appropriate areas of one‑on‑one pastoral care for students as identified in case management team




Increasing networking and connections with local organisations to better support families

About You
Diploma level qualification in one of the following: youth work, pastoral care, counselling, social sciences or psychology
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to model Christ to students, community and staff
Willingness to be involved in extra‑curricular activities
Eligibility to hold a working with children ‘Blue Card’
Experience in leading a team desirable
