The Packaging Technologist plays a key role in supporting the development and delivery of customer-relevant solutions across ANZ. This role works across RD&A;, Operations, and Commercial teams to ensure packaging solutions are fit-for-purpose, cost-effective, compliant, and scalable. The role is responsible for leading packaging inputs across product development, optimisation, and customer projects—balancing strong technical outcomes with speed, practicality, and commercial impact.

Key responsibilities:
Lead packaging workstreams across current product development and reformulation projects
Identify and recommend packaging solutions aligned to product, shelf life, and customer requirements
Partner with Commercial and Account teams to support customer briefs and presentations
Translate customer requirements into clear, practical packaging specifications
Support factory trials, validation, and implementation of packaging solutions
Ensure packaging designs are suitable for manufacturing, supply chain, and scale-up




Maintain compliance with regulatory, food safety, and customer-specific requirements
Develop and maintain accurate packaging specifications and documentation
Support cost optimisation initiatives through material selection and design improvements
Contribute to sustainability goals, including reduction of packaging waste and improved recyclability

Qualifications and Skills:
Degree or relevant experience in Packaging Technology, Food Science, Engineering, or related field
Minimum of 7 years' experience in packaging, food manufacturing, or a technical environment
Exposure to FMCG, ingredients, or foodservice sectors preferred
