Mechanical Fitter | Permanent | Morning or Afternoon Shift | Food About the Role An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a well-established food manufacturing business. Working within a up-to-date production facility, you'll be responsible for ensuring equipment reliability through preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance on production and packaging equipment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise production downtime.
Maintain conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, motors, bearings, chains, belts and pneumatic systems.
Complete planned maintenance tasks in line with maintenance schedules.
Assist with equipment installations, upgrades and continuous improvement projects.
Work closely with production teams to maximise equipment availability and efficiency.
About You To be successful in this role you will have:
Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner or equivalent.
Previous experience working within an industrial manufacturing setting.
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, hydraulics and pneumatic systems.
Previous experience within food manufacturing will be highly advantageous, however candidates from other automated manufacturing environments are encouraged to apply.
