Your Main Duties

The Mental Health Unit (MHU) is responsible for the acute psychiatric inpatient facility based in the Alice Springs Hospital which offers support and assistance to people experiencing mental illness.

The Mental Health Unit is a up-to-date 12-bed unit with the capability of a 4-bed High Dependency unit (HDU). It offers areas for quiet reflection or socialisation activities, such as crafts, games, entertainment and reading. In consultation with the person in care, family, carers and their support network are encouraged to visit and support the individual during their hospital stay.

You will be living in the third largest town in the Northern Territory. To be eligible for this position, you must have the following:
Current AHPRA registration with no restrictions
Experience in Mental Health Inpatient Nursing
Recognised qualifications in Mental Health Nursing
