Profusion Group is proud to be partnering with a leading Australian banking organisation to recruit an experienced Technical Lead to join a high-performing financial crime team in Sydney.

This is an exciting prospect for a seasoned technical skilled with a passion for data, architecture, and problem-solving to play a key role in delivering complex enterprise solutions within a critical business domain.

As a Technical Lead, you will provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across large-scale data and integration initiatives. Working closely with developers, stakeholders, and vendors, you will shape end-to-end solution design, ensuring alignment with business requirements and enterprise standards.

You’ll be instrumental in delivering solutions that are robust, scalable, and commercially effective, while also supporting critical production environments.

Responsibilities
Translate business requirements into explicit, scalable technical designs
Contribute to solution architecture and end-to-end delivery planning
Produce and review high-level IT, data, and solution design documentation
Investigate and resolve complex production issues through detailed data analysis
Provide L3 application support,



including vendor platforms such as (Quantexa, Fenergo, NetReveal)
Validate technical changes to ensure system stability, sustainability, and cost optimisation
Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and vendors to drive successful delivery
Proven experience in solution design and data integration within large-scale enterprise environments
Advanced SQL and data analysis capabilities
Strong working knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem and Spark
Experience delivering across multiple platforms and delivery methodologies
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Excellent stakeholder communication and consultative approach
Experience within banking or financial services
Exposure to financial crime platforms (e.g. Quantexa, NetReveal, Fenergo)
Knowledge of AML / CTF / sanctions frameworks
