Medical Receptionist required for General Practice!

Our clinic is a busy and vibrant centre catering to family communities north of the river. We have 14 consulting rooms and a excellent existing cohort of general practitioners, nurses and administrators. We are looking for receptionist candidates to expand our team, who will bring interest, enthusiasm, and some experience in health care.

Usual tasks include: Patient facing reception duties; Incoming telephone calls; Managing appointment bookings; Importing documents and correspondence; Creating patient accounts; Receiving payments; Session reconciliations; Direct billing to Medicare; Triage by phone and in person; Working collaboratively with nurses and GP's. We have a significant cohort of patients of overseas origin, so bi-lingual candidates should apply.

The right candidate has Best Practice Software experience, is excellent with people, and likes to keep busy. Initiative and self-motivation is a must, and a transparent understanding of confidentiality is essential. Impeccable telephone manner is required, as is the ability to accurately follow policy and procedure. Managing patients with absolute respect, empathy and dignity is critical.
