The Role

As a Human Resource Business Partner with the Town of Port Hedland, you will play a key role in supporting leaders and employees to deliver high-quality services to our thriving community. You will build strong, trusted relationships across the organisation and provide expert advice on employee and industrial relations matters, including the interpretation of legislation, industrial agreements, policies, and employment contracts.
In this role, you will manage complex workplace issues such as investigations, grievances, and disciplinary processes, while also supporting workforce planning, recruitment, and performance management practices within a unionised environment.
About You
To thrive in this position, you will bring solid expertise across generalist HR practice, with a particular emphasis on Employee and Industrial Relations. This includes providing complex advice, supporting dispute resolution, and interpreting industrial instruments.
You will have demonstrated experience in building strong working relationships with employees, managers, and executives, along with the ability to positively influence organisational change. As an experienced HR skilled, you will be confident in providing guidance on remuneration, policies, and employee engagement initiatives.
Work Related Requirements
Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, industrial relations or similar
National Police Clearance
Current 'C' class drivers licence
