We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Criminal Lawyer to join our busy team for a 6-month fixed-term contract for this advocacy-based position.
Key Responsibilities
Advocacy: Appear in the Magistrates’ Court for mentions, bail applications, and plea hearings.
Casework: Manage a file load under supervision, ensure all deadlines and compliance requirements are met.
Client Care: Provide transparent, empathetic legal advice to clients from diverse backgrounds, including those in custody.
About you
Admitted to practice.
A genuine interest in criminal law practice.
Robust communication skills with the ability to "think on your feet" in a courtroom
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
