A busy ground engineering consultancy is on the hunt for a Geotechnical Engineer to strengthen its Sydney team, with an immediate start on the table. The firm handles a mix of building and ground engineering work for developers, builders, and fellow consultants, and has no shortage of projects lined up. We're recruiting across several levels at once, mid-level and senior candidates are both welcome to apply.
What You'll Be Doing
Expect a genuine split between site and desk work, following projects from first drilling through to final report and design recommendations. You'll juggle a handful of jobs simultaneously, each at a different stage, and work closely with clients, builders, and the rest of the team.
That looks like:
Running site investigations — drilling, logging, supervision
Classifying soil and rock samples
Drafting geotechnical reports and design recommendations
Keeping clients,
contractors, and colleagues in the loop
Contributing to foundation design and ground engineering solutions
Managing a rotating mix of projects at different stages
What You'll Bring
A degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
Solid experience in geotechnical or ground engineering, mid to senior level
A solid handle on site investigation work and technical writing
Comfort talking to clients as easily as you do site crews
Willingness to move between the field and the office
If technical detail is your thing, you don't mind mud on your boots, and you want your work to actually move the needle on outcomes — get in touch. Available now or finishing something up? Either way, we'd love to @infrastructurepeople.net.au OR @infrastructurepeople.net.au
