Maclean Financial is a multi-division financial services business based in Mascot, Sydney. With approximately 10,000 existing clients across equipment finance, insurance broking, accounting and advisory, and mortgage broking, we provide integrated financial services to clients in heavy industry, including transport, civil contracting, trades and construction.
As part of our expanding Insurance team, we’re looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Insurance Account Executive to support our clients by preparing accurate insurance quotations, managing policy documentation, and working closely with our sales team to deliver exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
Review client insurance schedules and policy documentation.
Analyse current insurance arrangements and identify quoting opportunities.
Prepare market submissions for insurers and underwriting agencies.
Approach insurers to obtain competitive quotations and alternative coverage options.
Follow up with insurers and underwriters to ensure timely quote delivery.
Compare quotations and prepare transparent coverage summaries.
Review policy terms, endorsements, exclusions, and pricing structures.
Negotiate with insurers to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
Maintain accurate records of all market approaches and quotation activity.
Build and maintain robust working relationships with insurer representatives and underwriters.
Maintain accurate client records and documentation within the CRM and broker management system.
Stay up to date with insurer guidelines, underwriting criteria, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in insurance broking, underwriting, policy administration, or a similar insurance role.
Experience preparing insurance quotations and policy documentation.
Understanding of commercial insurance products and underwriting principles.
Solid attention to detail with excellent organizational and administrative skills.
Ability to interpret insurer underwriting guidelines and policy wordings.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Relevant insurance qualifications (e.g., Tier 1 or equivalent) are advantageous but not essential
