Barkus Doolan Winning is looking for a Legal Assistant to join our dynamic team in our Sydney CBD office. In this full-time position, you will provide high-level legal secretarial support to our legal professionals, ensuring the smooth running of our matters and our team.
What you'll be doing
Providing comprehensive administrative support to solicitors, including diary management and meeting coordination.
Liaising with clients, barristers and other solicitors.
Supporting solicitors in drafting and proofreading correspondence, reports, and legal documents.
Maintaining and organising electronic filing systems.
Answering and screening incoming calls, and providing exceptional client service.
Assisting with the coordination of client meetings and events.
What we're looking for
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Legal Assistant. Previous experience in Family Law and/or working with the court system is preferred.
Strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite,
with the ability to type at a high speed. Experience with legal practice management software is also advantageous.
Exceptional customer service skills and a skilled, courteous manner.
A team-oriented approach and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
Australian work rights are required for this position.
