The Glen Hotel is seeking a Kitchen Hand to join our award-winning venue in Eight Mile Plains. We're an all-encompassing destination featuring our Deck Bar, Charles Baker Coffee & Donut Shop, Lily Restaurant, Gaming Room, 4.5-star accommodation as well as 5 diverse event spaces.
The Glen is an independent venue, owned by the same family for over 63 years. We are an essential part of our local community, and our team has a genuine passion for hospitality - creating a place where customers feel welcome and comfortable, with a focus on delivering exceptional service alongside our solid food and beverage offerings.
About the Prospect:
We are looking for Kitchen Hands who always possess a positive and motivated work ethic.
Main Role Responsibilities:
Maintain the cleanliness of all kitchen equipment and work areas
Provide assistance to the Kitchen team
Experience, Skills & Attributes:
Experience in a quick-paced restaurant environment advantageous
Demonstrated organisational and time management skills
Must be able to endure the repetitive and physically demanding nature of the role
Available to work a rotating roster, including days, nights, weekends and public holidays
OHS, food hygiene & safety understanding
Excellent communication & presentation
Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team
Possess a positive “can do” attitude
