We are seeking an experienced Manager to take care of the day to day operations of the accommodation side of the business. Someone who will bring energy, professionalism and service excellence which will surpass our guest's expectations.
Applicants must be versatile and engage in all facets of the business, including:
· demonstrated management skills and previous experience in a similar role;
· exceptional customer service skills, working in Hotel Reception as first point of guest contact;
· manage reservations, room allocations, and front‑office workflows using RMS with confidence and accuracy;
· robust computer skills and the ability to communicate well with online booking agencies;
· ability to work closely with Accounts and the finance team;
· personable, friendly, approachable understanding to staff and guests;
· solid work ethic, performing well under pressure;
· think creatively and proactively — bring fresh ideas, initiatives, and improvements that enhance guest experience and operational efficiency;
· rapid learner with the ability to adapt to set current workplace procedures and tasks;
· Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve communication, and strengthen the motel’s reputation in the Shepparton market;
· Handle issues with calm problem‑solving, practical judgement, and a willingness to step in wherever needed.
Education
· Certificate or diploma in hospitality and tourism highly desirable
· Marketing and Advertising qualifications highly desirable
· Food safety supervisor advantageous
· Barista qualifications advantageous
Reporting directly to the venue manager, you will oversee and manage all facets of the day to day operation.
