We are seeking an experienced Customs Broker to join a growing customs brokerage team specialising in airfreight, e-commerce and import clearance. This role offers the prospect to work with established freight forwarding and logistics businesses, supporting both general cargo and high-volume e-commerce imports.
The successful candidate will work closely with both Australian and overseas clients, therefore Mandarin language skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and lodge Import Declarations through EDI software
Tariff classification and concession assessment
Review commercial documents and shipping paperwork
Liaise with freight forwarders, overseas agents and importers
Process DAFF referrals and permit requirements
Assist with cargo reporting and airfreight documentation where required
Communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients and overseas offices
Ensure compliance with Australian Customs and Biosecurity legislation
About You
Ideally you will have:
Experience in Australian Customs Brokerage
Good understanding of ICS, Expedient or Tradewindow
Strong tariff classification skills
Knowledge of Free Trade Agreements and valuation principles
Experience with airfreight imports (preferred)
Mandarin and English communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work independently while also contributing to a small team
