We are looking for an experienced Duty Manager to join the Story Bridge Hotel!

Story Bridge Hotel has been part of the Brisbane hospitality landscape for many years. It is made up of two unique dining locations, 4 diverse bar areas, Gaming, TAB and function rooms with some of the best views in the city. It has been owned and operated by the Deery family since 1967 and it continues to go from strength to strength. The Story Bridge Hotel offers a fabulous and rewarding work setting and is fortunate to have a dedicated and energetic team behind it. The Hotel operates 7 days a week breakfast, lunch and dinner till late.

We are looking for a candidate who has robust expertise and experience in high volume bars and extremely busy restaurants. Gaming experience and high service standards are key requirements for this role.

The Duty Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the venue and ensuring the delivery of outstanding customer service. This includes effectively allocating work to and supervising employees in all frontline areas, as well as maintaining and complying with all safety, stock and equipment procedures.





This role is integral to the success of our operation of the hotel, Key Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Staff management
Patron management
Overseeing implementation of RSA and RSG practices
Customer enquiries and/or complaints
Enforcing and advocating hotel Policies and Procedures
Being a positive team-focused individual who leads by example

Our successful candidate will demonstrate:
Experience in effectively managing staff/leading a team
A demonstrated passion for service and all things food and beverage
Sound knowledge of Hotel industry and hospitality trends more generally
The ability to actively mentor and develop potential leaders within the team and foster an environment of growth and professionalism
The ability to create, implement and monitor operational systems and procedures
Solid communication skills and professionalism
Current RSA, RSG + TAB Qualifications
A can-do attitude
