A Federal Govt client based in Canberra is seeking multiple Senior Storage Infrastructure Engineer within the ICT Operations Branch provides ICT support and underpinning infrastructure services to the department and the Ministers’ Offices, ensuring all staff in the department and MOs have access to secure and secure technology.
The ICT Networks & Infrastructure Platforms section falls within the ICT Operations Branch.
The Infrastructure Platforms team is responsible for the management of all data centers, server hosts and virtualization, automation, storage, backup and restore capability. The team is also responsible for providing after hours on-call support for our infrastructure.
The client is seeking a Senior Storage Engineer who has experience working in large complex ICT environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for deploying, configuring, managing and tuning the department’s storage systems at physical and virtual layers.
The Senior Storage Engineer will also be responsible to deploy, configure and manage Storage Area Network Switches as required. The successful candidate should have knowledge of current and emerging technologies to shape the future direction of the department’s storage and data platforms. The role requires producing design documents, build documents, operations document, handover and sharing of knowledge with other team members and mentoring junior team members.
