Design Manager – Full‑time, Permanent (Doncaster, VIC). This role leads the design of high‑voltage infrastructure and renewable energy projects, coordinating across electrical, civil, structural and SCADA disciplines.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage the design team for high‑voltage substations, transmission lines, wind farms and battery storage systems.
Collaborate with primary and secondary design experts, overhead lines, civil and structural disciplines to integrate all inputs into a cohesive design.
Ensure designs are compliant, efficient and aligned with client and industry requirements.
Act as a central technical reference for engineering management, design teams and external stakeholders.
Resolve design challenges, maintain consistency across disciplines and contribute to the successful delivery of large, multi‑discipline projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Chartered Professional Engineer status.
Significant experience in high‑voltage engineering design within utilities or renewables.
Track record of contributing to large, multi‑discipline projects.
Strong understanding of transmission grid projects and renewable energy connection requirements.
Excellent communication and time‑management skills.
