Our busy and growing venue is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Qualified Cook to join our team.
You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes using your knowledge and expertise in up-to-date Australian cuisine. Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook meals in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards
Monitor food stock levels and order supplies as necessary
Assist in the development of new menu items
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen station
Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and freshness
Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Train and supervise junior kitchen staff as required
Requirements:
Qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
Proven experience as a Cook in a busy restaurant or catering environment
Robust knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment and food safety regulations
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders simultaneously
Attention to detail and the ability to maintain consistency in the quality of food prepared
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Passion for the culinary arts and a desire to continually learn and develop new skills
