Chef – Full time

Curry Pirates Belmont, operated by VAZ N FERNS PTY LTD, is seeking an experienced and qualified Chef for a full time position.

The restaurant specialises in authentic Indian cuisine, including traditional North and South Indian dishes, tandoori specialties, curries, biryanis, naan breads, vegetarian and seafood dishes, Indo-Chinese favourites, desserts and beverages.

The successful applicant may also be required to work at Curry Thieves Dianella, located at 47A/366 Grand Promenade, Dianella WA 6059.

Qualifications and experience
Relevant commercial cookery qualifications
At least two years of relevant experience
Solid knowledge of authentic Indian cuisine and commercial kitchen operations

Duties and responsibilities
Prepare and cook authentic Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori items, biryanis, seafood, vegetarian dishes and Indo-Chinese specialties
Prepare and marinate meat, poultry,



seafood and vegetables using traditional Indian herbs, spices and recipes
Operate and manage the tandoor oven for tandoori chicken, chicken tikka, naan, roti and other tandoori products
Plan and coordinate food preparation during busy service periods
Monitor food quality, presentation, portion control and consistency
Maintain high standards of food hygiene, kitchen cleanliness and food safety
Assist with menu development and improvements to recipes and cooking methods
Monitor stock levels, order supplies, minimise food waste and ensure correct storage and stock rotation

Salary: $81,499 per annum plus superannuation
On-site role
Work across the Belmont and Dianella locations as required
