About the Role
As an Apprentice Signwriter, you will work alongside experienced specialists to learn all aspects of the trade. You will assist with the production and installation of signs and graphics while developing valuable practical skills through on the job training.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with the manufacture and installation of signs and graphics
Prepare materials and tools for sign production
Learn to operate signwriting equipment under supervision
Measure, cut and apply vinyl, paint and other signage materials
Assist with the installation of signage at customer locations
Maintain a clean and organised work environment
Follow workplace health and safety requirements
Care for and maintain tools and equipment
Work with qualified signwriters to complete projects on time
Develop new skills and techniques through ongoing training
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A genuine interest in art, design and hands on work
A willingness to learn and take direction
Strong reliability, punctuality and work ethic
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Basic maths and measurement skills
Good communication and teamwork abilities
Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights when required
A commitment to workplace health and safety practices
Basic computer skills, with experience using design software viewed favourably but not essential
Completion of secondary school or equivalent
A valid driver's licence is desirable
