We are seeking a reliable, hardworking and experienced Painter to join our team. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paints and coatings, maintaining a high standard of workmanship, and ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, sanding, patching and filling.
Apply paints, stains, varnishes and protective coatings to internal and external surfaces.
Mask, cover and protect surrounding areas before commencing work.
Operate and maintain painting equipment, including spray guns, ladders, scaffolding and elevated work platforms.
Complete all work to company quality standards and client expectations.
Read and interpret plans, specifications and work orders.
Maintain a clean and protected worksite at all times.
Follow all Workplace Health & Safety requirements, SWMS and company procedures.
Accurately complete timesheets, job records and daily reports.
Communicate professionally with clients, supervisors and team members.
Assist with material handling, site setup and pack-down.
Skills & Experience
Trade qualification in Painting and Decorating (preferred).
Previous residential and/or commercial painting experience.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Positive communication and customer service skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently.
Experience with airless spraying and specialty coatings is advantageous.
Essential Requirements
Current Driver’s Licence.
Construction White Card.
Ability to perform physically demanding work.
Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
Reliable transport to and from work.
