Beavertail Trailers is looking for an experienced Trailer Mechanic or Mechanical Assembler to join our fit-off crew.
The role involves assembling and completing the final fit-off of current heavy-duty trailers before they are delivered to our customers.
About the Role
Your duties will include:
Installing axles, suspension and braking components
Fitting landing legs, ramps, mudguards and toolboxes
Installing hydraulic and air components
Completing basic trailer wiring and lighting
Reading drawings, build sheets and measurements
Adjusting and testing mechanical components
Completing quality checks on finished trailers
Identifying and reporting faults or missing parts
About You
We are looking for someone who has:
Previous trailer assembly or fit-off experience
Mechanical fitting or automotive mechanical experience
Experience using hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment
Good attention to detail
The ability to follow drawings and instructions
Reliable attendance and a robust work ethic
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience with heavy vehicles, air brakes, hydraulics, trailer electrical systems or fabrication will be highly regarded.
A trade qualification is preferred but not essential for applicants with robust trailer assembly experience.
