Mechfield Facility Maintenance is seeking a motivated Apprentice Mechanical Plumber to join our growing team.
This is a hands-on role where you will gain practical experience working across commercial and industrial sites throughout Victoria, supporting the installation, servicing and maintenance of HVAC+R systems.
You will work alongside experienced professionals and build a long-term career in mechanical plumbing within a supportive and safety-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Assist in the installation of HVAC systems including ducted air conditioning, VRF/VRV systems, cooling towers, boilers, and ventilation systems
Support servicing, maintenance and repair works across client sites
Interpret drawings and assist with equipment layout and installation
Identify required materials and assist with ordering and tracking deliveries
Complete electronic job documentation including reports, JSAs and timesheets
Assist with quoting for additional works where required
Provide general site support and handyman duties as needed
Participate in emergency call-outs and high-priority works
Ensure all work is carried out in line with safety and compliance requirements
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A genuine interest in mechanical plumbing and HVAC systems
Commitment to completing a trade qualification (or already commenced)
Robust work ethic and willingness to learn
Positive communication and teamwork skills
Ability to follow instructions and work safely on site
White Card (preferred)
Required Licences & Checks
Current Driver’s Licence
Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
First Aid Certificate (desirable)
ARC Trainee Licence (or willingness to obtain)

Full-time | Monday to Friday
Hours: 7:00am – 3:30pm (with RDO accrual)
Location: Various sites across Victoria
