About The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Leisure & Activities Officer to join our friendly and close‑knit team at Calvary Elanora. The role is part of an integrated team that supports residents to live their best life.

Responsibilities
Respect every resident’s individual character, personality and right to independence to continue an enjoyable, healthy and productive lifestyle.
Develop formal and informal activity programmes designed to improve and maintain the quality of life of residents.
Provide social and recreational programmes that meet the needs of the residents.

Qualifications
Certificate IV in Leisure & Lifestyle or other relevant qualification.
Current First Aid Certificate.
Effective interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
Experience in planning, implementation and evaluation of activities and programmes for frail people with cognitive impairment and other disabilities.
Ability to document assessments, care plans and progress notes to meet legislative,



funding and quality improvement requirements.
Ability to work and communicate with people of all ages and cognitive ability and to obtain their trust and cooperation.
A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission‑based organisation.
