The private Planning sector is as busy as ever and we are supporting our clients with several active roles across multiple private consultancies spanning Sydney, Newcastle and the Central Coast. Positions range from Senior Planner through to Associate and Principal Planner level, with salaries from $100K up to $180K++ depending on experience. The employers are a mix of types — smaller specialist consultancies growing quickly, long-established regional leaders in major-scale planning and approvals, and larger national or global multidisciplinary firms. All offer hybrid or versatile work arrangements.

The work

These are substantive projects — significant commercial and industrial developments, education and health infrastructure,



renewable energy and BESS, mining and quarrying, major mixed‑use developments, Environmental Impact Statements, SSDs, REFs, rezonings and land development. None of our clients work on smaller residential or routine development approval projects.

What you bring

Relevant Environmental or Town Planning qualifications and solid experience in a consulting, client-side, government or council role. You're either already working in private consulting and looking for a better prospect, or you're ready to make the move from government, council or client-side into a consulting setting.
