Daviesway has been backing Australian dairy farmers since 1911, and our Warragul workshop is where our dairy stalls and milking equipment come to life — designed, cut, welded and finished right here in Gippsland by people who take real pride in their work.
We're on the hunt for an experienced welder / fabricator / all-round engineering type to join our workshop team. If you can read a drawing, run a clean weld and enjoy seeing a job through from raw steel to finished product, we want to hear from you.
What you'll be doing
• MIG welding and fabricating steel components for dairy stalls, platforms and custom equipment
• Stainless steel welding of milking equipment and other custom equipment
• Working from drawings and job sheets to cut, drill, weld, fold and assemble
• Custom fabrication work — no two weeks are the same
• Fitting and finishing work to a standard you'll be proud to put your name on
• Assembling other components including pneumatics and electrical systems
• Being part of a tight-knit workshop crew that gets in and gets it done
What you'll bring
• Solid welding and fabrication experience (trade qualification great, but proven hands-on experience counts)
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
• A valuable eye for quality and accuracy
• A strong focus on safety, and a willingness to pitch in and help out wherever needed
• Forklift licence and/or working at heights experience a bonus
