Expected salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per year

(Industrial Curtain Sewing Room) Production Manager required for busy commercial curtain factory located on the Gold Coast.

Must have high level skills in manufacture of curtains including
high level skill in the operation of industrial sewing machines to sew large curtains
experience working in a commercial level sewing room to produce work at volume
exhibit both speed and accuracy when sewing curtains

Must be able to use or able to learn to use our computers (desktop and ipad) and software




to monitor production requirements and schedules and manufacture accordingly
manage the appropriate use and selection of required fabrics to be allocated to orders for manufacture
send and receive emails
update the status of orders in our system as required

Must be willing and able to participate in the supporting work required to produce curtains including
hooking curtains according to required spacings and calculations
ironing large pieces of fabric
cleaning and maintaining an organized collective work space and personal work area
moving fabric rolls
labelling and marking fabric rolls ready for production
moving excess fabric to external bins

The tasks required involve
standing for extended periods of time when ironing, hooking and pinning
sitting for extended periods of time when sewing at a machine
walking up and down stairs
