An exciting 12-month contract opportunity has become available for an experienced Payroll Officer to join a large national not-for-profit organisation with operations across multiple Australian states. Supporting a large and diverse workforce, this role will see you contribute to the delivery of accurate and compliant payroll services while working within a collaborative, supportive and values-driven setting.
Your New Role
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will support day-to-day payroll operations and play an important role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
Processing payroll transactions and maintaining employee records.
Managing commencements, terminations and employment variations.
Processing leave, allowances, deductions and superannuation transactions.
Conducting payroll validations and quality checks.
Supporting payroll reconciliations and reporting activities.
Responding to employee payroll enquiries.
Assisting with year-end payroll activities and compliance requirements.
Supporting payroll process improvement initiatives.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Experience working within an end-to-end payroll environment.
Knowledge of awards, enterprise agreements and payroll legislation.
Strong payroll systems skills and confidence using Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Solid customer service and communication skills.
Ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities.
Experience working within complex workforce environments will be highly regarded.
