About the Role
As a Graduate Accountant, you'll work closely with experienced accountants and Partners while developing practical skills across accounting, taxation and client service.
You'll receive ongoing mentoring and professional development while gaining exposure to a wide range of clients and industries.
Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with the preparation of financial statements for businesses and self-managed superannuation funds (SMSFs)
Preparing income tax returns and activity statements
Assisting with tax compliance and business advisory work
Preparing individual income tax returns
Supporting senior team members with client matters
Building your technical knowledge through structured training and practical experience
Developing client communication and relationship management skills
As your skills and experience grow,
you'll have increasing opportunities to work directly with clients and contribute to advisory discussions.About You
We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, professional and ready to build a successful career in accounting.
You will ideally have:
A completed or near-completed Bachelor's degree in Accounting
A desire to commence and complete your CPA or CA qualification
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Strong technology skills and confidence working with modern business software
Good time management and the ability to manage multiple priorities
A commitment to delivering outstanding service to clients
Previous accounting experience is not essential, although any practical experience gained through work placements or part-time roles will be highly regarded.Why Join FAJ?
